Self Character Sheet

Image
Project from Digital Arts III was to create a character sheet for ourselves and make it look interesting.  I thought a Microsoft Paint themed sheet would be unique and fitting since it was the first digital drawing program I ever used. Project completed in Adobe Illustrator.      The Microsoft Paint menus and the background photo are not mine

Hot Freaks Album

Image
A project from Digital Arts III where we had to design the outside and inside of an album cover for a band or artist we enjoyed. I decided to make a new album for the band Hot Freaks including some of my favorite songs of theirs. A drive-in theme seemed fitting for the lovey-dovey style of music they have. The screen (on what would be the inside of the album) is showing the last frame from one of their music videos with an added "The End" to make it seem more like an older movie. The quote from that same side is taken from one of the members about the power of music. Project completed in Adobe Illustrator.      The Cadillac photo on the front was taken from  hoctcars.com and the vintage paper texture is from lostandtaken.com. The black and white drive-in photo is from Getty Images. The road photograph was created by another and the scene on the screen belongs to Hot Freaks.

Dragon Jewels Cereal

Image
Assignment from Digital Arts III was to make a cereal box design with a mascot and at least 3 pictures. I couldn't think of any dragon cereal mascots so I decided to make one. I drew him with the mouse and decided to make the cereal like the jewels dragons typically sit on. Project completed in Adobe Illustrator.      The General Mills logo belongs to General Mills. The spoon, cereal, and dragon scale texture were created by others.

Anything for You Book Cover

Image
Digital Arts III assignment where we had to design a book cover and the layout for three pages of an original story we created. We needed a chapter title page, a regular page with no picture, and a regular page with a large image. My story was intended to be a sci-fi horror that felt like it was written in the twentieth century. I wrote the text on the pages as what I imagined the story to be like if it were a real novel.  I wanted to use the Penguin publishers since they are known for publishing "classics", to get the older feel across as well.  Project completed in Adobe Illustrator.      The old dining room photograph on the front cover belongs to Christian Basetti. The dirty plaster texture on the back cover summary is from goodtextures.com. The face illustration used on one of the pages was taken from a poster sold by Codex Anatomicus. The Penguin logo was made by another.
