Crane

Image
Assignment from visual arts II where we had to draw origami with white colored pencil on black paper and fully capture different values.

Tiny Insects Everywhere

Image
Assignment from visual arts II to make a psychological portrait. A person is opening their head to reveal their brain, which is filled with centipedes. Heavily inspired by the song Insects from Oingo Boingo. Centipedes were made with a faux leather and brown string and the rest is oil pastels, all on black multimedia paper.

Watch Dogs

Image
Project for visual arts II, assignment was to have a fun object composition. I chose some shiny balloon dog statues and a wooden ball, I though the colors would bring a good balance. Created on sketchbook paper with graphite, colored pencils, and a white gel pen for highlights.

Fabric Study

Image
Assignment was to copy the fabric folds of a folded sheet in visual arts II. Completed with graphite on white sketchbook paper.

Bow

Image
A bow drawn in my visual arts II class. We were assigned to draw a metallic bow using different values of graphite. Completed with graphite on white sketchbook paper.

Twiggles

Image
A portrait of my cat, David C. Twiggles. He went missing a few years ago and I decided to draw him for a project in my visual arts II class. He is shown sitting on my bed, as he very much liked to do. The ears and nose are my favorite parts of the piece. This was completed with oil pastels on black multimedia paper.

Clown A Round Cereal

Image
Note: My computer was wiped before I could take a proper screenshot of this project and this photo taken of the screen was the only one I had. I really liked this project and wanted to include it even though the only photo I had was not ideal quality.      Digital arts I assignment was to design an original cereal box. I didn't know of any clown cereal, so I decided to make it happen. I really enjoyed the soft feeling of everything and the balance of the colors. Project was created in Adobe Illustrator.      Cereal and spoon photos created by others

Cyber World Weekly

Image
Note: My computer was wiped before I could take a proper screenshot of this project and this photo taken of the screen was the only one I had. I really liked this project and wanted to include it even though the only photo I had was not ideal quality.      Assignment from digital arts I was to create a magazine cover for a fictional universe. I chose the Cyber World of Deltarune since I thought it would make for a colorful cover. My favorite details are the fact that this issue was "released" the week Deltarune chapter 2 was actually released, and that the issue number is actually the correct number if a magazine had been produced every week since the World Wide Web was created. Project was created using Adobe Illustrator.       Main artwork and sprites created by others.

Revenge

Image
A project from my visual arts III class, the piece had to have something to do with tomatoes. I chose to have a clown who had had many tomatoes thrown on him during his shows, now getting revenge. The idea of a clown in a dark yet still humorous scenario was fun to work with. This was completed with oil pastels on black multimedia paper.

That Elusive Scarlet Pimpernel

Image
The instructions from digital arts II were to create a bust portrait of a person. I chose to do Anthony Andrews in his role as Sir Percy Blakeney in the 1982 film The Scarlet Pimpernel (if you haven't watched it you should it's really good). This project was completed in Adobe Illustrator.

Mike Baggins

Image
Assignment from digital arts II was to create Mike Wazowski as a fictional character and in a matching location. I chose Frodo Baggins from Lord of the Rings because I was reading Fellowship of the Ring at the time. Lord of the Rings is also awesome. Drawing Mike's feet hobbit hair was a horrifying experience. Project completed in Adobe Illustrator.       Wooden texture on door was created by other.

Graphics Magazine Cover

Image
Digital arts II assignment was to recreate a magazine cover in Adobe Illustrator. The car on the original cover was a photo, this was my best attempt to copy it in a digital drawing.

Rings of Power Poster

Image
Digital arts II assignment was to create a promotional poster for the Rings of Power Amazon series.  Created with Adobe Illustrator.      Logos and photos were created by others.

Deltarune Currency

Image
Assignment from digital arts II to create currency for a fictional universe. I chose to create currency which might be produced in the Cyber World in Deltarune. The Cyber World is a setting based on technology, so I tried to make the bill look as "digital" as possible, hence details like the barcode and binary code.  Project made in Adobe Illustrator.       Textures and sprites created by others. Two circular logos on the front created by me.

Laurie Strode Word Portrait

Image
Digital Arts II assignment to create a bust portrait using words of different fonts and colors. I chose to do Jamie Lee Curtis in her iconic role as Laurie Strode from Halloween, made up of quotes from her character throughout the films. The project was made using Adobe Illustrator.
